Mark Sawyer
Full time Lifeboat Coxswain

Mark is the full time Coxswain of Eastbourne Lifeboat and the Lifeboat Training Coordinator.
His main role is to take command of the lifeboat on service calls, handle the boat when alongside the casualty
and if necessary coordinate surface searches involving other vessels looking for casualties.
The day to day role is the upkeep of the boat and equipment,

The planning and organising of training both on the station and crew going away to courses
at the Lifeboat College in Poole is also one of Mark's little headaches.
